We are excited to share an opportunity to support a community-engaged research initiative led by Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS): the Community Health Resources and Needs Assessment (CHRNA) among Asian and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in Eastern Virginia.
This EVMS IRB-approved study (IRB # 21-09-EX-0213) uses a mixed-methods approach鈥攃ombining a community survey and in-depth interviews鈥攖o better understand the health needs and priorities of local AAPI populations in the Hampton Roads and Eastern Shore regions.
We are currently recruiting Vietnamese American adults (ages 18鈥85) to participate in 30鈥45 minute one-on-one interviews. The goal is to amplify the voices of this underrepresented community and inform future efforts to reduce health disparities. Participation is voluntary, and each participant will receive a $25 Amazon gift card as a token of appreciation. 聽聽
We invite and encourage members of the Vietnamese community to take part, and we would be especially grateful for your help in sharing this opportunity with colleagues, students, and community members of Vietnamese descent.
